It was just as well that President Barack Hussein Obama had refused to participate in Friday's National Day of Prayer. He did not attend an early morning service nor did he attend a large Catholic prayer breakfast on Friday.

He did, however, issue a perfunctory proclamation on the day of prayer - undoubtedly written by one of his cynical secular humanist speech writers. All the correct "God talk" was in the proclamation, but it was as vacuous as Obama's proclaimed "Christian" faith.

After all, Obama's "faith" was formed for 20 years under the teachings of his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, who is a hater of America and an advocate of Black Liberation Theology. One of Pastor Wright's best friends is Louis Farrakhan, head of the racist Nation of Islam.

Black Liberation Theology is the brainchild of Rev. James Cone, who admits he adopted Marxist philosophy as the basis of his theological views. This is hardly historical Christianity.

Moreover, President Obama has said that one of the prettiest sounds in the world is the Islamic call to worship. And, he carries a Hindu monkey god charm in his pocket. His bowing to an Islamic King in London is probably indicative of his real theological leanings.

It is clear that his strange theological views cannot be harmonized with traditional orthodox Christianity, so his presence at the National Day of Prayer would have been an uncomfortable moment for everyone.
